Webinar series focuses on how COVID-19 affects the world’s agriculture industry
Animal health and nutrition company Alltech announced the launch of a new webinar series to help farmers learn how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting the world’s agriculture industry.
The discussion series, “Forging the Future of the Farm & Food Chain,” features experts from around the world. It’s free and available on demand. Sessions feature Alltech’s CEO, Mark Lyons, as well as other guests, including a former Kroger executive, an economist and Kentucky’s commissioner of agriculture.
“Crises illuminate character, and COVID has highlighted the heroic work undertaken by the global agriculture community to ensure a secure food supply in the midst of such uncertainty,” Lyons said. “We created this series as an expression of our support for this community. In addition to offering valuable information and insights in the context of this COVID challenge, we hope to deliver inspiration—we have an opportunity in this moment to, together, shape the future of the farm and food chain.”
Panel discussions focus on topics including leadership in times of crisis; the experiences of people working on the “front lines” of food production; how the pandemic has changed the agriculture sector already; and a look at the post-pandemic future.
