Patterson Animal Health president outlines safety measures during COVID-19
In a letter to customers, Kevin Pohlman, president of Patterson Companies’ animal health business unit, said the Patterson team has taken several measures to keep customers and employees safe as the organization implements and adapts business continuity plans during the COVID-19 outbreak. These measures include:
Employing more frequent cleaning services in sales offices, branch offices and fulfillment centers, and closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s guidelines and recommendations for preventing the spread of the virus.
“We have shared instructions to our employees to wash their hands regularly and to stay home if they feel sick or have been in a part of the world that has been identified as a coronavirus-related risk,” Pohlman wrote in the letter.
Limiting customer interactions with Patterson team members. “Our commitment to serve the needs of our customers is as strong now as it has ever been,” Pohlman wrote. “To ensure we do our part in mitigating the risk of the spread of COVID-19, we have asked our customer-facing outside sales force to work remotely for the remainder of March. We are asking that customers not visit any sales offices, branch locations or fulfillment centers in person. However, our strong network of outside and inside sales personnel will be available to serve your needs remotely.”
Company officials will continue to monitor and assess the situation as it develops and will keep customers posted about any changes or updates, Pohlman said.
