Five veterinary managers receive 2020 VMG-CVPM scholarship

Veterinary Study Groups Inc., Zoetis and the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association have collaborated to offer the VMG-CVPM scholarship program.

The scholarships provide veterinary professionals an opportunity to pursue the highest level of certification a veterinary manager can achieve: the Certified Veterinary Practice Management credential. The credential, offered through VHMA, qualifies the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully manage the business concerns of today’s veterinary practices. CVPM candidates must document experience and knowledge and pass an examination.

This year’s five scholarship winners are active in Veterinary Study Groups’ VMG study groups. The groups of about 16-22 practice leaders meet and share information, data and management practices so they can run their clinics successfully.

The 2020 VMG-CVPM scholarship recipients are:

  • Kristin Balderson, of Dekalb Animal Hospital in Tucker, Georgia.
  • Holly Daugherty, of Encore Vet Group in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
  • Susan Driever, of Animal Hospital Highway 6 in Sugar Land, Texas.
  • Marsha Morgan Godfrey, of Hunters CanyonVet in New Braunfels, Texas.
  • Mercy McClendon, of Animal Care Clinic in San Luis Obispo, California.

More information is available in the announcement from VHMA.
