Elanco announces board changes, new science and technology committee

Elanco announced several new appointments to its board of directors, as well as the creation of a board-level Science and Technology Committee.

The committee will focus on advancing and augmenting the company’s product pipeline and driving research and development optimization. It will be chaired by Deborah Kochevar, dean emerita of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. To support the committee’s mandate, Elanco is also establishing an independent Science and Technology Board, comprising leading experts, to meet independently and with the committee periodically.

New additions to the board include health care executive, animal health director and investor William F. Doyle. Elanco has expanded the board and appointed Scott Ferguson, managing partner of Sachem Head Capital Management, and Paul Herendeen, chief financial officer of Bausch Health, to the board.

The company also enhanced the scope of the board’s finance committee. More information is available in the announcement.
