AAHA releases new pricing guide
The American Animal Hospital Association has released a reference guide to help veterinarians, managers and practice owners set competitive fees for their services and understand pricing strategy.
The guide aims to help practices determine their perfect price for more than 500 services. It draws on information gathered from 950 practices across the country, featuring pricing data on examinations, procedures and medications, including telemedicine and laser therapy.
Fees are broken down by factors such as median income of clients, metropolitan status of the practice, and practice size. The guide includes expert guidance on pricing strategies and step-by-step advice on reviewing and updating a practice’s current fee schedule.
“Pricing is just one factor in the success of a business, but with ‘The Veterinary Fee Reference,’ you can be sure that you have the context and data to create a successful, fact-based fee schedule that fits your practice,” Garth Jordan, CEO of the AAHA, says in the preface of the new guide.
More information, as well as a roughly 30-page preview, is available from the AAHA.
