Midwest Veterinary Supply to acquire Victor Medical
Veterinary distributor Midwest Veterinary Supply Inc., Lakeville, Minnesota, announced its agreement to purchase Victor Medical Company, a veterinary distributor based in Irvine, California. The acquisition will allow Midwest Veterinary Supply to expand its market reach and provide a more diverse product offering to the veterinary community, said Midwest President Jeff Burkhamer.
CureLab announces offering to advance cancer and inflammatory disease treatments
Boston-based CureLab Veterinary Inc. initiated a Regulation D fundraising offering for its development of therapeutics to combat cancer and inflammatory diseases in pets. ElenaVet™, the company’s flagship product, is a DNA (plasmid) therapy to stimulate anti-cancer immune response, modulate the tumor microenvironment and reduce systemic chronic inflammation.
Auburn starts ‘Public and One Health’ degree program
Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine will welcome the inaugural class to its “Public and One Health” undergraduate degree program, which will employ One Health principles (i.e., recognition of the interconnectedness of human, animal and environmental health) as its guiding principle. Seven additional colleges will be involved – nursing, liberal arts, sciences and mathematics, human sciences, education, agriculture and forestry, wildlife and environment.

Buyer registration open for Global Pet Expo 2025
Co-produced by American Pet Products Association and Pet Industry Distributors Association, Global Pet Expo 2025 will take place March 26-28, 2025, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Merck expands NOBIVAC® NXT platform for FeLV
Merck Animal Health announced the expansion of the newly USDA-approved NOBIVAC® NXT vaccine platform to include a solution to protect cats against feline leukemia virus (FeLV). The vaccine, which is built on the company’s RNA-particle technology platform, is expected to be available at veterinary clinics and hospitals this fall.
