Virtual events will focus on post-pandemic practice and telehealth

Virox Animal Health is partnering with business consultant Bash Halow to produce resources, including a webinar, meant to guide veterinary hospitals back to business as lockdown restrictions ease.

The July 14 webinar, titled “Five Challenges to Managing a Veterinary Practice Post Covid-19,” will be free and provide one hour of RACE accredited continuing education. It’s “a chance to hear about some very creative ways practices are managing curbside care and how they’re leveraging telehealth to keep stay-at-home employees employed,” Halow said.

Registration is available online.

Virtual care summit August 18

In other virtual event news, the newly formed Veterinary Virtual Care Association, a global nonprofit dedicated to developing best practices for delivering virtual care for animals, is launching its first online summit.

The August 18 event is open to the entire health care team and will feature 5.5 hours of continuing education content, according to the organization.

“The goal of the Veterinary Virtual Care Summit is to provide real, tangible insight and tools that can be implemented immediately in practice to improve and elevate the health of those animals in our care,” said Dr. Aaron Smiley, a long-time telemedicine practitioner and current president of the Indiana VMA, and a founder of the Veterinary Virtual Care Association.

Registration for that event is available here.
