VMX: Working to Strengthen the Profession

The NAVC’s annual Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX) is constantly evolving. But this isn’t just change for change’s sake; the NAVC is always looking to improve its annual event to strengthen the veterinary profession for the betterment of pets and people. This includes finding ways to improve the delivery of content, catering to your preferred method of learning, and even thinking beyond education to make sure your body—and not just your brain—is engaged. Take a look at some of the ways VMX is helping make the profession stronger in 2022. Preregistration and extra fees are required.

Meet the Professor Luncheons, Hands-On Workshops, and Masterclasses

Outside of the continuing education lectures VMX provides, special programs bring a well-rounded learning experience for those who want to dive deeper. Recognize a renowned speaker on the program? Sit down with them for a 2-hour Masterclass and pick their brains about their experience in the field or challenging cases. Want a more personal approach to getting to know these subject-matter experts? Meet the Professor Luncheons are a long-standing NAVC tradition that let you swap stories and share strategies with leading clinicians and like-minded colleagues. Do you have a passion you’d like to pursue or want to spend extra time on one discipline? Hands-On Workshops allow you to get your hands dirty and refine your techniques during half- or whole-day sessions. 

VMX Virtual

Virtual conferences and CE events became a mainstay in the past 2 years. The NAVC rolled out VMX Virtual at 2021’s conference and is committed to continuing and improving it for 2022. Whether you’re too busy to travel to Orlando, feel more comfortable attending virtually from your home, or prefer to learn via video, VMX Virtual allows you to obtain interactive CE credits that are accessible for 60 days post-conference—all from the comfort of your home or office. 

Fun(d) Run

Wellbeing is a pillar of the veterinary profession. The VMX Fun(d) Run is back this year with both in-person and virtual participation options. Join your fellow colleagues Sunday, January 16, at 6:30 AM for a 5K around the VMX campus. And for those VMX Virtual attendees, virtual participation is also encouraged! Participation requires a donation to the WSAVA Foundation; it is $25 for in-person registrants and $35 for virtual registrants.
