About the Author
Dr. Schlemmer received her DVM degree from the University of Florida. Following small animal rotating and oncology internships at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she completed a clinical pathology residency and masterās degree in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University and, subsequently, the Seeker Oncology Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Colorado State Universityās Flint Animal Cancer Center. Dr. Schlemmer is currently an assistant professor of clinical pathology at the University of Georgia. She is passionate about educating and collaborating with trainees, clinicians, and the veterinary team. Her interests include diagnostic clinical pathology and oncology, particularly tumor markers.
