Dr. Sebbag is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his DVM from École Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse in France and completed a rotating internship at Kansas State University before pursuing an ophthalmology residency at University of California-Davis. His clinical and research interests include ocular surface diseases and innovations in drug delivery. Dr. Sebbag received the AAVC Resident Award in 2016 and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on pharmacology and models of ocular surface disease.
Proptosis, or traumatic forward displacement of the globe out of the orbit, is a serious ocular emergency that requires immediate attention to minimize discomfort and damage to the eye.
