Dr. Martinez is an Associate Professor of Small Animal Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Washington State University with a research focus in osteoarthritis and surface electromyography applications in canine gait analysis. He has authored several research publications and small animal orthopedic book chapters. He is an invited speaker to national and international scientific and continuing education meetings and is past president of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Dr. Martinez is a graduate of UC Davis (DVM, MS) and received his surgery training at Michigan State University. He is boarded by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
