The NAVTA 2016 Demographic Survey<\/a> showed that 70% of respondents received health insurance, continuing education- associated expense reimbursements, and paid holidays. When asked what would help them deliver better quality care to clients, 32% of the NAVTA respondents said they would like more continuing education opportunities.<\/p>\n

The results of our recent Facebook poll that asked whether your practice owner or manager promote continuing education for the staff closely aligns with the NAVTA findings; of 274 respondents, 66% responded \u201cyes\u201d:<\/p>\n

The NAVTA survey also polled respondents about other education-related demographic statistics. Fifty-five of respondents have an Associate Degree compared to 75% in 2012 and 78% in 2007. However, those with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree increased to 30% in 2016, compared to only 11% in 2012. Continuing education articles, case studies, and opportunities to earn CE credit are the NAVTA programs most frequently identified as Very\/Somewhat Important services and programs in both 2012 and 2016 studies.<\/p>\n

In addition, 90% agree that a national standardized credential requirement is important. Only 3% disagree, while 7% remain undecided. Ninety-one percent agree that a consistent title for the profession, across all states is important; 3% disagree and 5% are undecided.<\/p>\n
