A 2024 NAVC Gives recipient, the Veterinary Industry Giving Tree accepts anonymous nominations of veterinary professionals experiencing financial challenges. The organization, co-founded by registered veterinary technician Beckie Mossor, is prioritizing families or individuals in western North Carolina and other areas affected by Hurricane Helene. The localized antibiotic therapy was developed by parent company Purgo Scientific. The implanted Vetlen Pouch is designed for customized wound treatment based on the patient and the pathogen being treated. \u201cBecause the antibiotic is replenished daily, veterinarians can change the medication as needed,\u201d according to Vetlen Advanced Veterinary Devices.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Hallmarq Invests in In-House Manufacturing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging is expanding its production space by 35% at its headquarters in Guildford, England, bringing all manufacturing in-house. \u201cWith an increase in orders from the U.S. and other regions, the company has positioned itself as a key player in both small animal and equine advanced imaging,\u201d Hallmarq stated. The Standing Equine MRI machine and Vison CT system are among the company\u2019s products.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Two Home Care Practices Combine<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>At-home care provider The Vets, founded in 2020, has merged with the BetterVet mobile practice network. \u201cThe merged entity will continue operating under The Vets brand, helping pet owners nationwide benefit from an expanded range of services, broader geographical coverage and technological advancements,\u201d the company reported. The combined operation will cover over 30 major U.S. cities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Nutramax Schedules 2025 CE Conference<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nutramax Laboratories will hold its 2025 conference, \u201cA Different Way to CE,\u201d from Sept. 3 to 6 at the Gaylord Palms Orlando in Orlando, Florida. The donors, who requested anonymity, brought their dog to the university\u2019s Veterinary Teaching Hospital because of a tumor. Dr. Sellon and veterinary surgeon Dr. Bonnie Campbell diagnosed laryngeal paralysis and provided emergency care.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>New From Digicare: SedStation and SedVent<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Digicare Animal Health has launched SedStation, an automated veterinary anesthesia workstation. The system administers anesthesia while monitoring and aiding respiration during an anesthetic procedure. Digicare also released SedVent, which may be combined with existing manual stations to provide automated mechanical ventilation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Pets Best and CareCredit Provide Direct Reimbursement<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Veterinary clients with CareCredit and Pets Best pet insurance accounts may receive direct reimbursement of insurance claims to their CareCredit credit card.
