In addition, c\/d Multicare Stress Feline will come in three new wet flavors: tuna, chicken, and vegetable and tuna.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ceva Acquires Scout Bio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ceva Animal Health acquired the Philadelphia biotechnology company Scout Bio. Terms were not disclosed. According to France-based Ceva, \u201cThe move represents a significant leap in innovation for Ceva, unlocking access to key advancements including a pipeline of monoclonal antibodies and gene therapy developments to address chronic diseases in pets.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>VPS Makes a Deal With Mars<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions acquired contract manufacturer Diamond Animal Health from Mars Corp. Terms were not disclosed. \u201cThis is a strategic move that expands VPS\u2019s position beyond its status as the market leader in livestock pharmacy compounding,\u201d the Minnesota-based company stated.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>AMC Opens Institute for Surgical Care<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Stephen and Christine <a href=\"https:\/\/todaysveterinarybusiness.com\/veterinary-news-101722\/\">Schwarzman Animal Medical Center<\/a> unveiled the 7,000-square-foot Denise and Michael Kellen Institute for Surgical Care. The project was part of the New York City hospital\u2019s ongoing $125 million expansion. The surgical institute features five operating rooms, a minor procedure room, and a recovery room separating dogs and cats.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Instinct Science Buys VetMedux<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VetMedux, the publisher of <em>Clinician\u2019s Brief<\/em> and <em>Plumb\u2019s Veterinary Drugs<\/em>, was acquired by Instinct Science, a provider of workflow and practice management software. Terms were not disclosed. \u201cVetMedux founder Elizabeth Green will join Instinct\u2019s management team and continue to lead as president of VetMedux,\u201d the companies reported. Instinct\u2019s founder and CEO is veterinarian Dr. Caleb Frankel.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>WSAVA Partners With The Farmer\u2019s Dog<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/todaysveterinarypractice.com\/clinical_topics\/nutrition\/\">Pet food<\/a> maker The Farmer\u2019s Dog became a Diamond Partner of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association. The Farmer\u2019s Dog will participate in WSAVA\u2019s Professional Wellness Group and three new committees: the Non-Clinical Working Group, the Advancement of the Veterinarian-Led Team and Essential Standards for Companion Animal Veterinary Practices.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Lintbells Earns B Corp Recognition<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pet supplements maker Lintbells achieved B Corp status, an international certification of the company\u2019s high level of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Lintbells reported it is \u201cone of only 11 companies globally within the pet care sector to be awarded B Corp certification.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Inventory Ally Works With Shepherd PIMS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inventory Ally, a cloud software designed to reduce inventory costs and streamline processes, now integrates with Shepherd Veterinary Software. \u201cShepherd users can activate the Inventory Ally integration and enjoy a two-week free trial,\u201d the companies stated.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Animal Dermatology Group Expands<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Animal Dermatology Group of Irvine, California, completed its acquisition of Golden Gate Veterinary Specialists, a Northern California practice founded by Dr. Nicole Eckholm. Terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>BluePearl and Banfield Hire New CMOs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BluePearl Pet Hospital promoted Dr. Richard Stone to chief medical officer, replacing Dr. Jimmy Barr, who took a CMO role with Mars Science and Diagnostics.
