The former practice owner had been NewDay\u2019s senior regional veterinary medical director.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Wisconsin Looks for Veterinary School Dean<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University of Wisconsin appointed a search committee to help identify and select candidates for the next dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine. The committee chair is Dr. Kristen Bernard, a professor of pathobiological sciences. The current dean, Dr. Mark D. Markel, intends to step down in summer 2024.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Small Door Opens Third D.C. Clinic<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Small Door Veterinary enlarged its Washington, D.C., footprint with the opening of a members-only clinic in the Spring Valley neighborhood. \u201cThe opening marks the 10th location across three markets that Small Door has entered, with five New York City locations and two Boston practices that opened earlier this year,\u201d the company stated. Dr. Kristen Fischer is Spring Valley\u2019s managing veterinarian and Dr. Jake London is the senior veterinarian.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Hallmarq Gets New Chicago Home<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging, which makes a standing equine MRI and CT scanner and a small animal <a href=\"https:\/\/todaysveterinarybusiness.com\/hallmarq-sells-100th-standing-mri-unit\/\">MRI machine<\/a>, opened a 6,300-square-foot factory in Chicago. The new plant is 2 miles from the previous facility and allows Hallmarq to stock its \u201csystems and modular options under the same roof,\u201d according to the
