A four-person mobile unit dispatched from Connecticut provided first aid and distributed more than 1,000 pounds of dry pet food and 200 cases of wet food. \u201cPartnerships with local animal hospitals and shelters, industry suppliers and manufacturing partners helped provide additional goods and services,\u201d according to the company. Among the corporate donors were Hill\u2019s Pet Nutrition, Patterson Veterinary Supply, Zoetis Animal Health, Royal Canin, Merck Animal Health, Datamars Pet ID and Virox Technologies.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>AVMF Provides $50,000 in Hurricane Relief<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The American Veterinary Medical Foundation donated $50,000 to support Florida\u2019s veterinary community and others caring for animals in the wake of Hurricane Ian. The recipients included the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, the University of Florida Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service, Greater Good Charities and the Texas A&amp;M Veterinary Emergency Team. \u201cThe UF VETS team is in Fort Myers treating small animals, and Texas A&amp;M has deployed to Florida and is providing care for more than 80 urban search and rescue dogs,\u201d the foundation reported.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Purina Partners With DOGTV<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Purina is providing U.S. dog owners with a treat: one month of free DOGTV programming. DOGTV offers canine enrichment programs through 24\/7 cable and streaming channels. \u201cPet parents will be able to view programming curated exclusively for Purina, in addition to expert tips and info for dog owners and dog-focused content intended to provide relaxation, stimulation, exposure and rest,\u201d DOGTV reported. Details are at <a href=\"http:\/\/DOGTV.com\/Purina\">DOGTV.com\/Purina<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>BI Gives $225,000 to Veterinary Hope Foundation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. became a founding sponsor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/todaysveterinarybusiness.com\/a-profession-in-search-of-hope\/\">Veterinary Hope Foundation<\/a>, a not-for-profit group focused on improving the mental health of veterinary professionals. In addition to the $225,000 sponsorship, \u201cBoehringer Ingelheim will advocate and share VHF\u2019s mission as their teams visit veterinary clinics across the country,\u201d BI stated. \u201cThe teams will leave behind information about resources available to help the clinic spread awareness of the VHF\u2019s cause and how veterinarians and their teams can get involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Colorado State to Upgrade Facilities and Curriculum<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences\u00a0announced a $278 million project to expand the veterinary health complex by 2028 and increase class sizes by 30 students a year, to about 170. A new curriculum, planned for full rollout in fall 2026, \u201cwill educate Day One-ready veterinarians with unparalleled medical training as well as robust skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, decision-making, and mental, physical and financial well-being,\u201d according to the college.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Trupanion Partners With Canadian Kennel Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canadian Kennel Club members with new litters can purchase immediate coverage from pet health insurer Trupanion without breed restrictions or exclusions. CKC members also have access to Trupanion\u2019s Breeder Support Program, which offers starter kits for puppy buyers, a dedicated account manager, and anonymized reporting data for breeders on the health and well-being of their litters.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Betty White Estate Donates $150,000 to Charity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The estate of the late actress Betty White donated $150,000 to Morris Animal Foundation in support of the Betty White Wildlife Fund.
