Lyon Veterinary School Chooses Campus Location
The Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine plans to enroll its inaugural class in 2025 in Cabot, Arkansas, a suburb of Little Rock. The newly announced location also would house the city-supported Cabot Animal Services Center. The school is pursuing accreditation with the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Council on Education.
New Purina Pro Plan Supplement: Multi Care
Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements introduced Multi Care soft chews for the support of skin, digestive and immune health in dogs. Multi Care is recommended for daily use and is available in 30- and 60-count pouches. The product carries the National Animal Supplement Council Quality Seal.
Curative Sound Unveils f-ESWT Device
Curative Sound launched CS-Pro VET, a focused Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (f-ESWT) device for companion and equine patients. The portable, battery-powered device weighs 14 ounces and offers focal depths of 2, 5, 10, 20 and 30 millimeters. “From treating orthopedic injuries to managing chronic pain conditions, the CS-Pro VET offers versatility across a wide range of veterinary applications,” according to the company.
VO Vets Expands Outside Fort Worth
VO Vets Animal Hospital held a public grand opening in Trophy Club, Texas. VO Vets also operates an American Animal Hospital Association-accredited hospital in nearby Fort Worth. The founding partner and medical director is Dr. Russell Miller.
Emergency and Specialty Hospital Opens in Nova Scotia
The 24,000-square-foot Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre opened in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. The practice, led by four veterinarians, offers 24/7 emergency care, physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, chiropractic care and exotics care. A 128-slice CT scanner is expected to be installed later this year.
San Antonio Now Has 7 CityVet Clinics
CityVet opened a clinic in the Southtown neighborhood of San Antonio, Texas. The location is Dallas-based CityVet’s 37th and the seventh in San Antonio. The new practice’s managing veterinarian is Texas A&M University graduate Dr. Anne Romeo.
VIP Starts DVM Mentorship Program
The 40-hospital Veterinary Innovative Partners network introduced the Viva mentorship program. “Designed to revolutionize veterinary career advancement, Viva provides tools and resources tailored to the personal and professional strengths, interests and aspirations of new DVM graduates joining the VIP team,” the company reported. Included are one-on-one sessions with veterinarians and group and peer mentoring.
