Terravet and Innovetive Petcare Partner on Georgia Hospital
Terravet Real Estate Solutions has completed the $3.33 million acquisition of Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, Georgia. The transaction included the purchase of the practice by Innovetive Petcare, a network of veterinary hospitals. Dogwood is a 24/7 emergency hospital employing more than 70 people, including 17 full-time doctors.
Adoro Pet Insurance Is Coming in Late 2025
The U.S. pet insurance industry will have a new provider starting in the fourth quarter of 2025: Adoro Pet Insurance Services. CEO Gavin Friedman and president and chief operating officer Tricia Plouf co-founded the Seattle-based company. According to Adoro, underwriting capacity will be provided by Crum & Forster, whose pet insurance brands include ASPCA.
Bridge Club Plans Sustainability September
The Bridge Club, a veterinary industry networking group, has launched Sustainability September in collaboration with Mars Veterinary Health. A free toolkit is available at bit.ly/41eJWjw. CityVet Grows in Texas and Colorado
The CityVet network has scheduled the Aug. 25 grand opening of a clinic in Murphy, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The co-owners and operators are Drs. Justin and Beth Burgin. Another CityVet clinic opened on Aug. 18 in Lone Tree, Colorado, and is managed by Dr. Jerell Guster.
Otto Introduces AI Recap Pro
Austin, Texas-based Otto has launched Otto AI Recap Pro, a standalone version of its Otto AI Recap scribe tool. The new offering integrates directly into Otto Flow, the company’s all-in-one communication platform for online booking, forms, messages, reminders, payments and internal collaboration.
Inventory Ally Offers Mobile Version
Inventory Ally has released a mobile version that enables veterinary teams to manage inventory tasks directly from their phones. The mobile version also features Pill Counter, a visual tool that allows teams to quickly and accurately count medications by snapping a photo. Additional enhancements, including barcode scanning, offline mode and expanded cycle count functionality, are in development.
Multicultural VMA Releases Free DEI Resources
Thanks to a grant from Maddie’s Fund, the Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association has made public the two-part series “Veterinary Clinics: Small Animal Practice — Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine.” The collections, published by Elsevier and edited by Dr. Christina V.
