People in animal health don’t have jobs. They have callings. At Merck Animal Health, that passion to do right by animals and those who care for them is engrained in everything we do. It’s part of our DNA and why we created our Unconditional social commitment program.
To be Unconditional embraces Merck Animal Health’s core commitments of advocating for healthier animals, customers and colleagues, the industry as a whole and for a sustainable environment. It is a commitment to live our lives like the animals we serve with trust, patience, respect and compassion. And it’s a promise to care for them and improve the well-being of the people and professionals who watch over them. Unconditional provides a platform to acknowledge and expand the good manifested from those within our industry and our communities.
Because we heard you. You want to know what we’re doing to better the veterinary landscape, as well as how and why.
With so many impassioned employees and connections, we have been able to be Unconditional in a way that specifically benefits veterinary well-being. In addition to our continued veterinary well-being research that has brought awareness to the challenges our veterinarians face, we are able to reach veterinarians on a very personal level and through all stages of their careers.
For example, through our partnership with MentorVet, Merck Animal Health provides support to several mentor-based programs that offer guidance and a helping hand to veterinarians early in their careers when they could use mentorship the most. Merck Animal Health recently provided all Auburn University veterinary graduates access to the MentorVet platform to help them prioritize their mental health as they transition into the workforce.
This is only one of many initiatives we have implemented or support to better the emotional well-being of the incredibly important, yet vulnerable, veterinary profession. It’s passion, perspective and the drive to do what’s right that instills us to be the difference for veterinarians and the world they support.
We invite you and your team to be Unconditional with us. Research shows that clients want to hear how you enhance the community and give back to the causes that matter. Seeing your purpose and the actions behind them are often rewarded with loyalty, while further distinguishing you from the competition. But improved business is an indirect benefit to empowering your team to place purpose before profit and make a bigger difference in the world.
To be Unconditional returns your team to the passion that brought them into the industry in the first place. It inspires. It unites. It gives you the opportunity to be the difference.
And that difference is what inspires us all.
