Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Fear Free LLC has rebranded itself in an initiative to apply the principles of physical and emotional well-being to farm animals such as cattle, chickens and swine.
“Working with Dr. Temple Grandin, Fear Free is in the very early stages of engaging with food animal veterinarians, producers, manufacturers and retailers about improving the lives of animals used for food and fiber, from birth to earth,” said company founder Dr. Marty Becker.
The initiative includes a new logo and the tagline “Leaders in animal wellbeing.”
“To complement our new look, we will be launching a new website and implementing new software platforms that will make it easier for our members to connect with us and take our courses,” CEO Randy Valpy said.
Chief operating officer Tori Williams said the initiative simplifies the certification of veterinary practices.
“We’re here to support veterinary practices in providing the best care and to ensure they stand out in the community,” Williams said.
Days before the rebrand, the company announced a strategic alliance with Blue Heron Consulting.
“We will first Fear Free-certify Blue Heron’s coaches,” Valpy said. “Then, as their coaches work with their existing and new veterinary practice clients, they will promote Fear Free with the goal of getting these clinics to become Fear Free certified.
“From our perspective, we will promote Blue Heron to our existing certified clinics and individual Fear Free veterinary staff with the hope that some will engage Blue Heron to assist them with growing their clinics.”
The company also reported a strategic alliance with Vetstream Ltd., a provider of digital clinical references and educational content for veterinary professionals.
“Fear Free-certified veterinary practices will be able to add access to Vetstream’s library of educational materials,” the company stated.
“Fear Free will be endorsing Vetstream’s behavioral content and will be working with Vetstream to add additional behavioral content to Vetstream’s comprehensive library.”
