About the Author
Dr. Phillip Nelson has served as the dean of the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine since 2007. A graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, he was a Tuskegee department head and an associate dean at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine before he joined Western in 2005.
