Felixvet Inc., an Ireland-based manufacturer of generic drugs for companion animals, has launched Carprofen Soft Chewable Tablets. According to the company, “This addition offers veterinarians five different forms of carprofen, each specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of their customers.” The company’s North American headquarters opened in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2023.
1 Million Use Connect With a Vet
Chewy’s telehealth platform, Connect with a Vet, has surpassed 1 million consultations after nearly five years. The online retailer’s advice and guidance service is available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight ET. According to Chewy, “More than 70% of cases are referred to in-person providers to ensure pets receive necessary medical attention, and over one-third of consultations lead to immediate or emergency referrals.”

Behavior Issues Are Common in Dogs
Texas A&M University researcher Dr. Bonnie Beaver has discovered that more than 99% of U.S. dogs show potentially problematic behaviors, with the top categories related to aggression, separation and attachment, and fear and anxiety. “Owners may not see them as issues worth addressing, but almost any dog owner will encounter a behavior that is at least inconvenient,” Dr. Beaver said. CityVet Expands Into Indiana
The 59-hospital CityVet network expects to open its first Indiana clinic in suburban Indianapolis this summer. Other CityVet locations are in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia.
