IndeVets began with the not-so-crazy idea that vets like you deserve to love your job and have a life outside of it. As practicing vets ourselves, we had some first-hand experience with the burnout that has become our status quo. Insane hours, little-to-no support, office politics, too much focus on production, and piles of vet school debt are all too real these days. We knew there had to be a better way, and we decided to put our feet (and paws) down and fix it.
We started from scratch and set out to create a totally new way to practice that puts vets first. We took what makes associate work reliable and combined it with what makes relief work flexible. That means you’ll get proper pay for the hours you work, full benefits and total control of your schedule — plus an entire team supporting you every step of the way.
It’s not relief work, it’s a whole new way to work.
Everything we do is to make the industry better for vets like you — because we are vets like you. That means we do things a little differently. We aren’t afraid to take time off, leave work on time or speak up if something isn’t working. It’s baked into our DNA. It’s the way we’ve always done things and it’s at the heart of our values.
Not only are our vets leading a movement that’s challenging the status quo, we’re also leaders in our day-to-day practice. As IndeVets, you have the opportunity to work at a wide variety of clinics, and because of that, you end up learning tons of new techniques and approaches. We love that. It’s like spreading Cerenia-like fairy dust across the veterinary profession one clinic at a time.
