Gail Gibson, VMD

Dr. Gail Gibson is a companion animal practitioner at the Animal Medical Clinic, Inc. in Skowhegan, Maine. She attended the University of New Hampshire followed by the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her VMD in 1982.

Dr. Gibson has been active in the Maine Veterinary Medical Association and has served as Chairman of the State Board of Veterinary Medicine. She’s very involved in her community. having served as President of the local Rotary club as well as serving on the New England Board of the American Red Cross. Dr. Gibson’s interests include ophthalmology and dermatology.

When did Gail first know she wanted to be in veterinary medicine?

“When I was twelve years old, I got my first horse. The veterinarian that took care of her could see that I was fascinated with what he was doing, so he invited me to travel to the various farms with him to watch him care for all the farm animals. After the first trip, I knew that veterinary medicine was the career for me and I’m still enjoying it today.”
